EMEA Overclocking competition benchmarks, rules & categories Category 1 3D KingThe goal here is to find the fastest rig for 3D gaming. Configurations with AMD CPU are allowed.
Benchmarks used in this category:
3DMark06, default benchmark
3DMark05, default benchmark
The overall score for this category is calculated using the following formula (higher is better):
3DMark 06 (e.g. 24000) + 3DMark05 score (e.g. 35000) = Overall 3D score (e.g. 24000 + 35000 = 59000)
The user must provide a valid, public Compare URL link to Futuremark Online Result Browser (ORB) for each result as well as a screenshot that includes the following details:
Three CPUZ screens, one displaying the CPU information, one displaying the Memory information and one displaying the Chipset / motherboard details
3DMark window displaying the overall score and details
GPUZ or CCC window showing the Video card details
A photo of the configuration in particular the cooling solution of the system must be visible
Category 2 Calculation ChampionThe second category focuses on pure calculation performance. AMD CPU is required.
Benchmarks used in this category:
Wprime 1.55, 1024M calculation test
http://hwbot.org/blog/wp-content/wprime_155.zipSuperPi XS ver 1.5, 16M calculation test
http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/ The overall score in this category is calculated using the following formula (lower is better):
Wprime result (in seconds, e.g. 375.112) + SuperPi result (in seconds, e.g. 412.324) = Overall calculation result (e.g. 375.112 + 412.324 + 352.10 = 1139.536 seconds
The lower the result the better (e.g. faster times win).
The use must provide a screenshot for each of the tests. The following details must be visible in the screenshot:
Benchmark window displaying the overall result
Three CPUZ screens, one displaying the CPU information, one displaying the Memory information and one displaying the Chipset / motherboard details
Category 3 MHz MonsterHighest CPU-Z validated CPU clock speed wins. The goal is to push the CPU core frequency to the max. AMD CPU required.
Benchmark used in this category:
CPU-Z 1.49 or later
The user must provide a CPU-Z validation link. Highest CPU clock frequency wins. Downcoring the CPU / overclocking just one of the CPU cores is allowed.
Category 3.5 Mega OverclockThe goal is to increase the CPU frequency by as much as possible. Relative improvement over the default clock is measured (in %). Example: 1800MHz CPU overclocked to 3600MHz equals 100% Overclock. AMD CPU required.
Benchmark used in this category:
CPU-Z 1.49 or later
The user must provide a CPU-Z validation link. The user who gets the highest OVCK % value is the Winner.
Category 4 King of the Hill
The overall score is a combination of 3D performance, calculation speed and high CPU clock. It is not allowed to change the system configuration between the benchmarks (e.g. all benchmarks must be ran with the same components). AMD CPU required.
Benchmarks used in this category:
3DMark05, default benchmark
Wprime 1.55, 1024M calculation
CPU-Z 1.49
The overall score in this category is calculated using the following formula:
TBD
Previous rules apply.
